Doers Project #2: Vanessa Lisboa | Antigua Cosmetics On Building Something That Promotes Self-love

Vanessa Lisboa is a full time mom and student, building her business Antigua Cosmetics on the side. She shared with me how she had the idea to start a skincare line (named after her grandma), and how it became her mission to build a business that promotes self-care and self-love.

With this beautiful skin of hers (she’s wearing no makeup on the video!), she is the perfect model for her products— one more hat she’s wearing I guess, because she takes care of every single thing herself: from making the products to taking care of the Etsy Shop to doing social media.

Vanessa is an example of a doer. Splitting her time between studying psychology, taking care of her son, and doing (everything related to) Antigua, she’s on a mission to help people slow down and take care of themselves, while inspiring other women to pursue their dreams.

Minutes:

0:17 - Tell us about your business and what inspired you to create it
1:48 - Tell us about the challenges and the bumps
2:46 - What about the wins? Is having a business worth it?
4:06 - Would you say you have a mission behind your brand?
4:39 - Real talk: what do you tell the women out there who want to start a business?
5:46 - Do you consider yourself a “doer?”
6:15 - How can we support you and buy from you?

Thank you, Vanessa! You’re an inspiration!
